A few months ago I received a sms from absa telling me my business account needs to be FICA but having FICA'd my account the year before I assumed this was a mistake. I then came to do payments & found my account was blocked. This Lockout was not comunicated to me & I never received notice from ABSA as some other customers on here have mentioned. Upon calling the Bank ABSA BLATENTLY TO ME & told me that the accounts needed to be FICA'd annualy however the real cause was a fire at their records office.
After eventually making it to the Branch with all 4 signatories on the account we sucessfully managed to FICA the account & thought our problems where solved. But since then over the last two months these IDOITS keep locking out the account every 5 days which then entails begging to get the account releasd for the next 5 days. ABSA HAS NO REGARD FOR THEIR CLIENTS & THE COSTS INVOLVED IN FIXING THEIR MISTAKES.
Ive read their replies to the last complaints & these are unacceptable they must publicly give a solution to this & explain if LYING is how they do business. Further they should explain how they plan to compensate affected clients for business interuptions they caused
