In January i was fed up with poor service and double debiting and wrong debits and the length of time for refunds so i cancelled my insurance policy effective 31/01/2013 (letter confirming in my possession)
At the end of May 2013 i applied for finance for a vehicle but was declined "due to misconduct on credit bureau"
After numerous phone calls and inquiries to Trans union (ITC) and FNB (whom i was applying for finance) and numerous credit reports pulled for me, i discovered that discovery had flagged me for "Lapsed policy due to non payment" in February 2013
After proving beyond all doubt that i had cancelled the policy effect end Jan and Discovery acknowledge that fact they still refused to send trans union a letter to retract their mistake and remove the flag
After seeking some legal advice all i got from Discovery was a letter acknowledging fault for incorrectly debiting me in February and in the letter stating they dont list people on ITC
Not even a lawyer telling them that their information they send to Transunion caused the flag will they admit and correct this
I am at my wits end and dont know how to fix this as it is preventing me from getting any finance anywhere
