I bought a house via Standard Bank which was the only bank willing to offer a 100% home loan but at a high ineterest rate of 10.04%. Standard bank informed me I can dispute the interest rate only after 1 year. It has been a year now, I wanted to take out a second morgage to consolidate my debt but was declined for variase unclear reasons, I asked whether they can have a look at my ineterest rate and 2 days later received an e-mail stating only "Unfortunately your interest rate will remain the same! ".
It feels like I don't have a say and can't even get clear reasons as to whyv :-( I am investigating transferring my home loan to another institution that can be more helpfull.
