This is now the 3rd (and final) time I am turning to Hellopeter in 2 months due to the useless, incompetent and utterly pathetic manner in which Absa conducts business & treats their clients. Since my last complaint, here is a list of the issues I've had:
- Applied for a credit card, received an sms telling me to bring ONLY my ID book to the branch to collect, arrived at the branch and told I need proof of res - had to come back with it to collect the card.
- Applied for a personal loan about 3 weeks ago, online facility wouldn't work, eventually completed application manually, after being called back once or twice, no further contact to finalise the loan - still waiting! I had to withdraw funds from my Credit Card @ 17.5% because I couldn't wait any longer.
- Tonight (14-06), tried to logon to internet banking, wouldn't allow me in, made sure I was entering the correct password, eventually received a message stating that my account has been locked. Called contact centre, told I have to go into a branch with my ID to reset it!
I am done fighting to receive the service THAT I PAY FOR! I am closing all of my accounts, and transferring my existing debt with ABSA to a proper bank!
