I had an accident on 19 April 2013 and today it is almost 2 months after there is still no decision communicated on my claim. As if this is not enough the rental car i was using was taken away on 7 June 2013 before the claim is finalized. I incurred costs to extend the car so that i could get home at R350 per day. Several complaints to Alexander Forbes on this ignored. Additionally i'm left carless and had to incur further costs of over R100, 000 to buy another car to use in the meantime. My lawyer sent a letter demanding a decision to be made but Alexander Forbes simply ignored which is an additional cost for me to pay the lawyer.

Right now i don't understand the purpose of insuring when you get more stress on top of the trauma of having an accident and losing property.
This is all happening when Alexander Forbes is still deducting monthly installments (3 installments debited after the accident).

If i may quote Alexander Forbes marketing brochure:
