As a long standing customer who has an impeccable credit history and financial standing I thought it would be a painless exercise to apply for a very moderate level of vehicle finance from SBSA. How wrong I was.
Even though they have access to my financial accounts and it is clearly evident that I could afford to purchase the vehicle I was looking to finance in cash should I be that way inclined they have decided to reject my application on the basis that I am employed as a contractor.
Of course I only found out about the decline after the application was supposedly accepted, quote signed, order placed by SBSA with the dealer. Oh and I didn't find out from SBSA either, no I had to find out via the dealer at the last moment.
Great service SBSA!!! Thanks for the great relationship over the past 10 years... Fortunately FNB have been more than willing to assist me in picking up the pieces of this debacle.
