Deposit of R670, 00 not allocated

I made a deposit of R670, 00 to Fnb personal loan account, on 6th February 2013. To date money has not been allocated to my account. Instead Fnb, personal loans has handed me to their lawyers for collection. I phoned personal loans dept, am told I have to speak to their legal dept. I tried phoning there, held on for hours on end.

phoned Bed ford gardens branch of Fnb, who were very helpful, confirmed that money I deposited is with Fnb loans account, and has got a correct reference number. Why it has not been allocated, I do not understand. Fnb, instead rushed off to hand my account to lawyers for collection. These lawyers are now harassing me daily for payment when the money is sitting with Fnb. This was supposed to be a last deposit on this account, for bank to close account, is this fair?
