My wife and I currently bank with FNB. At recent we applied for a housing loan, thinking that we bank with FNB, surely we should get a speedy response and a good interest rate. Never have i been so wrong.

Firstly it took about two weeks for them to get hold for me for a credit check, which was done so poorly. I had two consultants calling for the same reason. Nevertheless, after obtaining all the necessary information they required they gave us the most ridiculous interest rate. At this time we had already received a response from SAHL who were so professional at the job in keeping their customer happy.

This unfortunate event is so upsetting that we are considering moving our accounts away from FNB. i banked with FNB for a long time and as a loyal customer i would expect some loyal service from my bank!!

This is not how you retain customers, especially current customers!!
