Wanting to apply for a loan at Standard Bank, I tried their on-line application form that didn't seem to work for some reason. I thought let me give them a call so that they could assist me with regards. Called the general contact centre number (that doesn't have the personal loan option in their IVR) I was transferred 5 times (!) and given 4 numbers that turned out to be the incorrect ones!?!?! Eventually I get someone on the line that is willing to assist but I was told I must go into a branch or give my contact details??? If they cannot even correctly re-direct calls, perhaps it might be a good idea to go elsewhere where they can assist immediately... Big pity.
