Money missing

I wanted to withdraw R3000, 00 cash at the lifestyle centre ballito on the 28 may only to have my card returned, a confirmation sms was received and then the atm hr glass rotated for ten minutes and said processing request, the resident security guard who stood by my side and witnessed the whole event, gave me the atm number and I called the atm call centre who prompltly put the atm into sleep mode with still no receipt or cash dispensed. the following day during office hours I relayed the story at the branch and was given another reference number and told it can take 15 days, today I received an sms that my claim was unsuccessful. i have called the resolution centre for an explanation and was given a new reference number.

I feel too scared to use standard bank atms now and if I need cash am going to go into the branch. I really dont know what to do as I have also just registered a substantial home loan with std bank and am so shocked at losing this money so easily. should I switch banks or should I stay (29 year customer)? the security guard who is more of a customer atm assistant remembers me well and apologises profusely for the bank go figure?
