Was contacted by Standard Bank specialist - Trivani Naidoo on Friday 17 May. Finalised all the details, assistance approved. A consultant will call you in 4-5 working days I was informed. It's been 12 working days and no contact. If the banks are having such difficulty processing backlogs or requests then this information should be imparted to their customers. Waiting for a follow-up seems to take as long as the initial contact. Surely the whole point of assisting a customer financially is to actually do that, and not make the customer get into more debt the longer they wait.
