Account frozen due to lack of proof of residence??

I tried to draw cash from an atm last night, and it kept declining saying account problem on the slip. I checked my balance thinking what happened to my money in my account. There was money in, so we went to a different atm, and was also declined, also saying account problem and to call their 0860008600. I called the number and was told that my account is frozen due to Absa needing my proof of residence. I now want to know, as common courtesy, who at Absa was meant to let me know. It is called common courtesy and decency. I now cannot draw a cent, which is quite embarrassing as well as frustrating, as I am at work today, and am attending study classes tomorrow. I find this situation quite disgusting, and am seriously off. If someone had let me know in time, i could have made arrangements to go to the bank. I now probably have to borrow money from someone, which is somthing i dont do, just as long as we have bread milk and petrol money, all this due to Absa not having the decency to let me know. Pathetic disgusting and utterly humiliating
