No feedback on declined application

Applied for a home loan with Std Bank. Was approved in principle but I was informed it was declined due to my wife's income from her business not being recognised!

I phoned the call centre to understand the reasons for declining the application. Spoke to two people, only to phone back later and find there is no record of my almost 1 hour call to them. Eventually got hold of the team leader I had spoken to earlier. His reply was pretty much that my wife's rental income is not accepted by Std Bank as income. Thus only my salary and her business's profits were taken into account. No one properly understood what was going on and I was even told that the structure of the business and payments received by my wife is WRONG! I was also not allowed to speak to the person who decided on the application.

I requested it to be escalated and received an SMS stating they received my complaint on the 29th of May (Ref: 34336177). To date, no reply.

People with no understanding of what is included in the application and there is no discussion from their side, even if they are wrong.
