I visited the Discovery web site to see how I could claim for sever illness benefits as I have been diagnosed with cancer. The web site states there are 3 ways to claim... Submit a claim, contact the call centre or contact your employer.
I first decided to submit a claim, after completing the requested details and submitting the web site returned that it could not register the claim, as a claim was already registered. On checking that claim status page it indicated no claims have been submitted.
I then contacted that call centre and spoke to a consultant called Liberty who said I must talk to my Employer as he cannot deal with me directly. I informed him that's not the information contained on the web site and his answer was simply he is sorry but the web sites information is wrong as the only way one can claim is via the employer. I then asked him where I could get the doctors statement form as I was seeing my doctor later in the day. He said I could download the form from the web site unfortunately no Doctor's statement form is available on the web site.
My question to Discovery is how can you publish a webs site with incorrect and misleading information?
