Earlier this year I logged a claim with discovery life as I have been deemed unfit to work in my profession as a nurse by my treating specialist, I have submitted a claim in January while I was put off work were discovery requested reports from the treating doctor and a report from an accountant for my income and expenses that I had to face the bill for. After sending in all that was requested of me and a letter from the specialist discovery sent me to their own occupational therapist. After receiving this report their medical panel reviewed the results and sent my claim back to Sharon the claims assessor. She contacts me on the 18 sept 2013 after I has sent all the documents through on the 31 July telling me that they require a second opinion and that none of the doctors they have are available till the end of November. I took it upon myself to find another doctor contacted Sharon with the details only to be told that she needs authorization from her manager before I can schedule a visit. My home is going to be on auction soon as I am not able to keep up with the payments but discovery still expects to be paid every month. Discovery looks for any reason not to pay!!!
