Between FNB & Telkom, they must sort this out!

On May the 2nd, I was trying to buy prepaid 8ta airtime on my FNB cellphone banking app. What came up was Telkom Mobile. A while back, Telkom had sent a SMS that they were changing the name of 8ta to Telkom Mobile, so in my mind I was buying the right airtime. After the transaction, nothing came through and even a couple of days later, still nothing.

So, I called my FNB banker Johannes who informed me that I needed to go to the Telkom branch to get a refund. I went to the branch and they told me that they no longer give refunds for airtime bought through the ATM's or cellphone banking, this was communicated through all the branches via some communique. They also said that I needed to go back to FNB for them to reverse the voucher and then give me a refund. I call FNB and I am linked to a very rude person who asks me 'Did I read the terms and conditions? " and tells me that they will not refund me. What sort of nonsense is that? I want my money back or at least to be given airtime to the value of the money that I have paid. I am not in the charity business, especially not to big corporations such as Telkom and FNB. Between the two of them, they must sort this out.
