I have lodged a third-party claim with Santam (my father's insurer), after he reversed into my car (he is clearly guilty). I have submitted this claim in November 2012. During this first few months in 2013 I submitted photos, proof of ownership and all the rest. I have been leaving messages for the person dealing with my claim only to find that she has been on maternity leave whilst I have been leaving messages. After submitting quotes for repairs between R16000-R19000 from various repairers, they telephonically confirmed that they are offering me R14000 to repair my vehicle (so nowhere close to what my quotes came to, so I'm surely gonna have to get a guy who runs a repairs shop from home to fix my car). At the time of complaint my case has still not been resolved an in the meantime my car is slowly rusting, so one of these days the parts will have to be replaced completely @ R14000... Ridiculous!!!
