So tomorrow it will be a month since my car was involved in a car accident and after ABSA i-direct dragged their feet they said they will pay out but first I need to hand over the spare key and the ownership documents of my car. I called their call centre and spoke to some woman named Philippine whom I asked what their claims procedure is and she mentioned that I have to be given (in writing) the payout amount before I hand over anything. And I recorded the call so I have proof of what she said. The next thing I get threatening calls that I won't be paid out until I hand over the ownership documents. Why is it an issue that I want the confirmation of payout ON PAPER before I hand over the documents? It's funny that the Themba guy gave me a figure verbally so what is the big deal with putting that figure on paper? I really do not have time for monkey business. ABSA is a zoo and they think everyone else is a monkey!!
