Every now and then, we get into a situation where we need to submit a claim, and my past experience with previous insurance companies has not been great.
So on 21 April 2013, I lost my GoPro while scuba diving off the Cape peninsula. The sea was rough and some kelp knocked it off my head without me even noticing.
On the following Monday, I was reluctant to submit a claim because I hate ruining my long claim free period, and I did not want to go through the mission of motivating why I need a payout. Unfortunately it had to be done...
I was SUPER impressed with the speed at which this claim was handled. The person I spoke to was compassionate and laughed with me at the silly way my camera got lost, and then mentioned that the claim has been successfully submitted. A mere two days later, the money was paid into my account, no questions asked, no unnecessary delays.
And this only a month or two after my premium was lowered!
I love Budget. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a true no-fuss insurance company.
