Got bumped by a car on december 2012, as hit and run. the car that bumped my rear tire ran away but manage to get the registartion numbers, sent to insurance. the claim was lodge since then nothing was happening until January when I phone, the told me they are waiting for previous insurance if ever claimed, as the way I was asked during taking the insurance. to my suprice on saturday 12, I got call that my claim has been declined and pushed to go and take my car within 24hrs. Im not even around pretoria. my questions are as follows: 1. on taking the insurance question about claim was that have I ever claim since 5 years, I said no, which is true, because my first bought car was 2011, changed the car, without claim to buy other car, that I ask Budget to insure. Now their story is I said I had uninterrupted insurance cover for more than 5 years. how can I have 5 years if my 1st car was bought on 2011? and why the insurance has to wait for me to call to tell me missing information? the police are still handling issue of person who bumped me and run away, but insurance that im paying drop me like useless object.
