Standard Bank
Transactions not stopped

On Monday 23 December I was contacted by SB dept case no.6625161 re 11 transactions of R 1652.99 ea on my cheque account totalling over R 18 000 description ATM Gallery. This was just before 3pm and bank closing but the consultant said all my cards had been stopped.

Tuesday I went into the bank and when a statement was drawn by consultant, it showed only one transaction of R 1652.99 and I was told that the "awaiting auth" transactions had been cancelled. I was given a temp card and completed an affidavit.By 26 December the R 1652.99 was no longer reflected when I checked via my internet banking and all seemed back to normal.

Morning of 28 December I checked my account and all 11 transactions of R 1652.99 were back with bank charges and these did not reflect as awaiting authorisation.
I immediately notified standard bank and went and did second affidavit case no. 56507854.

The standard Bank consultant was not able to explain to me how these transactions could be processed as ATM transactions as I have a daily limit of R 1500 or how the additional transactions were passed after my card was cancelled. I must wait 10 days from 29 Dec. No money or feedback
