I recently had a 1time transaction (yes, the airline that no longer operates) processed on my credit card. I called to log the and stop my card, which I was difficult to do, since I couldnt find the line number and the options on the system didnt lead me to the department, but eventually I got that done. They told me I should be contacted within 3 working days with feedback - I wasnt. So I tried calling the call centre only to be put on hold for over 5 minutes each time, which I dont believe is acceptable. I tried calling them about 6 times, each time giving up after 5 minutes holding and listening to "your call is important to us, please hold" - is it really important if they make you wait. Today, I finally got through after holding for 10 minutes!
In summary, Standard Bank are making it very hard to deal with them and making my decision to change banks very easy!
