Sirago Underwriters should change their name to Promise Breakers Underwriters.
Why?
I Submitted a short payment by my medical aid to them on 2013/05/06. Sure enough I got an e-mail response back that they will assess my claim and payment should be received within 7 to 10 working days. After 10 Working days I called them to ask on the progress. The call centre agent said he will find out and call me back -> First Promise broken. On the next working day I called again. After a big ha and mistakes from their sides they agreed on the amount that was going to be paid. Said they will speak to their finance department and see if they can make an urgent payment.-> Second promise broken. After calling them again on the next day, and getting some attitude from their call centre agent about it being month end and they can't help me, I determined that it will only be paid on 2013/05/31 - Third promise broken (7 to 10 working days???)
This whole event left me with a severe cash flow problem R200 for the rest of the month. Who can live on that? All because of a company who cannot keep promises.
