I am herewith lodging a formal complaint against the FNB Home loans department for the following reasons:
o Upon registration of home loan in 2010, the initial documentation that was provided as part of the home loan application clearly stated that FNV should register a flexi facility. Due to the negligence of FNB this application was not captured correctly and the flexi facility was never registered nor was I formally informed of this negligence. Secondly, I paid a large sum of cash over to my home loan on 2012 - again, under the impression that my flexi facility is available and I could extract the funds at any time should the need for this facility arise. In April of this year (2013) I went overseas and upon my return found that my home was burgled and due to this additional financial burden I wanted to extract funds from my home loan to install a burglar alarm, repair the damages, install additional security etc. However, to my great surprise I found out that my flexi facility was never captured on the original bond application and now i am engaged in a huge fight with FNB - no resolution 2 weeks later!!
