In summary, I gave notice on my homeloan with Nedbank on the 12 Jan 2012 as we intended on selling our house. Later in the year I called again to enquire when this expires as we had not sold our house yet and I was told it expires in a year and I should call back when it has. ie 12 Jan 2013. I did exactly that on the 12 Jan this year and was told that I need to call back on the Monday to extend the notice period. I called back on the Monday I was told that an extension as indicated to me on calls before was NOT possible and I was furnished with the incorrect information in the past. I did manage to get to speak to the call center manager who then informed me this does happen. Why???
A investigation would be done into the recordings and if I was miss informed I would not pay the penalty. However, today I had to call again as I have heard nothing .. a very nice call center agent told me her manager would call me after I explained everything AGAIN. I am yet to hear from him!!!
