I was involved in a motor accident on the 12th April 2013, I reported and my car was towed, the consultant confirmed the claim and I got a courtesy car the same day, I wastold that the assessment will take at least 48hrs, after trying to get hold of Absa I was told the assessor hasn't given the report as yet and that was after 48hrs. Then on the 27th Avis called that I should return the car and that was 14 days after the accident
I contacted Absa again reporting the matter and realized the assessor took at least 10 days to do the assessment they extended my courtesy car again, I ask the Agent what's going to happen if my car is not fixed by the 12th since Avis gave me till that date to return the car, she said I will have to pay for the period I will be using the car as Absa will not be liable. I struggled to get hold of the panel beaters the whole of last week and only to realize that they were on leave the whole week of the 1st May and now another 6 days has been wasted andhad to return the car. I was given 7 days extension n returned the car on the 19th, Im now without a car and insurance promised they will arrange with panelbeaters tha I get a car while Im waiting.
