Poor quality of service

My vehicle was involved in an accident on 30 Nov 2012.it was reported to idirect the following week. Nothing was done. I sent in an online claim and again, nothing was done. I reported it again to the call centre and in march this year the claim was processed. The vehicle is currently in the repair shop and I have a courtesy vehicle which needed to be authorised on sat (6th april) and I contacted idirect on 0860 202122 on 8th april. I was told the claims departments phones are down and an email will be sent to extend the courtesy car. Avis informed me this was not done. I contacted idirect on the 10th april and was told the same story.its the 12th and my credit card is being charged by avis for the car. In addition, my vehicle is still not ready.considering that it took 4 months to actually process the claim, I wonder if the claims department will ever sort out the authorisation on the rental. First thing I'm doing when I get my vehicle back, changing insurance companies. Second thing, making sure no one I know insures with idirect! Pathetic service!
