POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

99% of my family have banked with standard bank since ages ago. My son and I have been at the Grove Mall Standard Bank branch seeking to make changes on my will and get advice on investments for him. Our names were registered at the reception with a promise that consultants would call us back for individual appointments. I have been waiting for a couple of months for the call and my son has also been waiting for a while for the call. My son has been to the bank twice in an effort to get an appointment to without much success. It is also perturbing that this branch does not any even 1 in-house investments consultant on Saturdays. My son is, as I write, dragging me to the FNB where consultants are available 6 days a week and have agreed to meet with him without an appointment.. This is a lifetime disappointment for me who has always praised the Standard Bank as pro- marginalized, simple and non-discriminating.
