RECOVERY ACCOUNT

Twelve years ago, there was a problem with a current account 1003513595. Basically I allowed the account to get unintentionally get overdrawn, as I did not close it and a debit order kept running. In 2001 I discovered this problem and paid the amount in full. The account was then closed - see letter. However, in your systems this account is set to "recovery". I have now tried to apply for a mortgage, and now the recovery account is preventing ABSA giving me credit. Funnily enough I applied for and was granted a Plantinum Bundle Cheque account with an overdraft with no problems. I have tried to contact legal; however, they don't answer their phones, so I am not able to resolve the matter. 12 years is enough time to hold a grudge; however, you got your money, so I think it's time to change the status or delete the account. Staff members have been helpful, but its like there is a wall no-one can remove. Please remove the recovery status from this account or do something to remove the block.
