I went to Standard Bank to change to the R99 per month service fee option... I signed the papers... nothing happened...
I phoned Standard Bank... they investigated...
The branch manager phoned me... they had made a mistake... they refunded me...
Following month I was again charged more than the R99...
I phoned Standard Bank... the consultant eventually tried to put me through to the branch manager...
I put the phone down after 12 minutes... wasn't this sorted out last month... or done properly when I went to the bank for the first time a whole lot of moons ago...

I went into the Karaglen Branch (Edenvale) of Standard Bank to make some minor changes to my account. It ended up taking about 2 1/2 hours - to do what had just taken me about 10 minutes to do at Absa. I went away thinking that that was by far the worst branch of any bank I'd ever been into in South Africa.
