The Unlimited
FALSE ADVERTISING AND EMPTY PROMISES

Dear Hellopeter,
A month ago I received a phonecall from a lady from The Unlimited-Homeright who was marketing Homeright's Household insurance. I was skeptical as to accepting the household insurance, however after 2 weeks basically of phoning me my husband and I decided to accept it, R130/month and they come and repair anything basically in your home, she confirmed that they do have agents in Kimberley area, I asked specifically TV repairs as I do have a 42" Plasma TV that is not working very well. She confirmed that after the 1st debit order goes off Im immediately covered. Today I phoned to lay a claim for the above-mentioned TV and the call centre person said he would phone back to let me know who will be coming and when. 10 minutes ago a lady from the unlimited phoned to tell me they wont be able to send out anybody as the tv repair people who used to fix TV's for them don't fix TV's anymore!!! and that I must if I know somebody who fixes TV's get them to fix it and pay them, they will pay me back!!! To me this is totally unacceptable! this is not what I signed up for and I feel I was cheated. I even gave several of my friends names and numbers to join! what have I done?
