Excess refund not done since August 2012

I was involved in an accident in and registered a claim in August 2012. There was a third party involved and I was made to pay an excess of R 2750.00 which was to be refunded to me but to date not a cent was paid back to me.
The insurance company concerned (Mutual & Federal) has made no effort to keep me posted in terms of developments and to see to it that I get my refund as per agreement. Pleae help. The insurance company of the third party has been cooperating right from the start.
