FNB not updating my credit report

During April 2013, I have applied twice on line for a gold credit card at FNB. Both times it was turned down based on affordability. On enquiry at FNB Sales Dept., I was informed that I must enquire from ITC (Trans Union Africa) to establish what my financial status is, as they are the company who inform banks regarding the financial status of clients. I phoned ITC on 25 April 2013 and they informed me that my credit report reflected a monthly instalment of R668 due to Direct Axis (a FNB service provider!) in respect of a loan. This is not true, as I have SETTLED THE ACCOUNT IN FULL during Oct. 2012. I then obtained my credit report from ITC on the same day and reacted to it on line by means of a dispute, but until now I have not hear a word from ITC as well. I was informed today by FNB Sales to reapply for a credit card in 2 to 3 months time. As an existing client of FNB, I feel I have been treated very unfairly in this whole matter, as an incorrect credit report prevented me from obtaining a credit card. The biggest irony of all, is the fact that FNB turned down my application due to the negligence of one of their very own service providers who failed to update my credit report!
