We have had our home loan for close to 2 years now, last month a double deduction was taken off and after a week of phone calls it was refunded. This month the same thing has happend again after being told the debit order has been stopped. I made a complaint this morning and was told that a specialist consultant would contact me regarding this issue, by 3 o' clock no call had been received and after phoning again was told I would receive a call in 5-10 minutes.
Still no call was received so on phoning back for the 3rd time and after being cut off i spoke to a consultant who once again escalated the problem and said that nothing could be done till next week, we are sitting with our account in overdraft and daily fees are being charged.
Its extremely frustrating at the lack of concern and just being told theres nothing that they can do about it, as well as hearing discussions in the backround as to what beer preferences would be consumed this weekend by consultants!
Thank you Standard Bank for stuffing it up again, I will be drinking water this weekend because you have all my money
