I recently switched from Standard Bank to FNB. I had a Student loan at FNB previously which was debited from my Standard Bank account. I then asked for the loan debit order to be switched from FNB, and after a month I received an sms saying that I had to contact the bank, since they needed more information in order to do this. I went to my nearest branch, where I was told that they had everything they needed, so the switch should not be a problem. Another month went by and since I haven't received any confirmation that it was switched, I phoned Customer Care, who could not see on the system what the progress was on this, or even confirm that I had a loan at all. I have no idea how to solve this, since going into the branch is just as useless as phoning Customer Care. I now have to pay for two bank accounts again this month, and will probably have to do this untill I have a weekend off where I can go to a branch again and try to sort it out. Never thought switching to FNB would turn out to be such a hassle.
