A bathroom pipe burst on April 18 2013 while we were at work, we got back home at around 6:30 and the whole house was sitting in water, literally. i called the insurance same time and explained the situation, specifically emphasizing the fact that its all carpet and we all know what happens to carpet with water, and i was told that they dont do the plumbing, i should get plumbers, pay them and they'll reimburse me later, and so i did. i submitted all receipts and the forms that the insurance had emailed me. they sent an assessor from Top carpets benoni the following week, who then submitted a quotation to the insurers and waited for authorisation from them. mean while it's 2 weeks later on the 3rd of May and still not a word from the insurers. the whole house is smelly, we cannot breathe, we getting sick, and the floors are now lifting up because it's wooden floor underneath and the wood has soaked up all the water in the past 2 weeks, the carpets are moulding and the built in cupboards are disintegrating. i call them literally everyday and they never call u back, everyone says Zwelakhe is handling your claim and he's on the phone, he'll call you back in 10 minutes, till today.
