Extremely late payment

Three weeks ago I submitted a claim for a burst pipe that led to extensive damage of the carpet. i was helped quickly and recieved all the relevant details. However once the plumber and flooring expert were called out the bad service started. The plumber was also effiecient (Big 6), and due to a small cause we decided that my husband would fix it himself. The carpeting contractor came out in good time. However when I phoned him te next day to discuss the floor he told me he submitted the form and the insurance wil get back to me. After waiting a week because the report was not submitted (according to insurance). I was told that we would recieve a smaller pay out because my husband hadcut out the rotting piece of carpet. (which he had to do because the smell was unbearable). Evenutally they told me they would pay the money in. I made an appointment for ifloors to replace the carpet. But had to move the appointment because the money was not paid in due to a "communication error". I again had to move the appointment because of the same error. And today had to move the appointment again because they did not realise I had an outside bank account. Three weeks and carpet is still there.
