I called the call centre to upgrade my current account with FNB and was told I can not upgrade on 2 different occasions:
1. ur account needs to be 6 months old
2 you are currently on debt review and cant upgrade.
I also called the call centre about 2 months ago and was told that I can upgrade if I earn R16500 a month... my salary payment increased to R35000 gross salary so there is no doubt that I would qualify for plat account.
I cant see what the problem is - if you at FNB are not willing to upgrade then I suggest we cancel this account and ill go somewhere else.
its simple - if u cant upgrade cancel the gold account do new application for Plat account or alternatively do a system override and upgrade my account...
I had the same issue when I applied for the account 2 different calls made to apply:
1. agent said sorry u are on debt review u cant apply
2. agent said even if u are on debt review u can apply we will just not be able to offer the fuel rebate and the overdraft etc but the account is std.
so why do u have the issue again???
