On 18 October 2012 I sent an email to HOC Vetting informing Nedbank that because I rent out 1 room in my house I had taken out Home Owner's Insurance with BnBSure to cover me against any claim should something happen to a guest. Nedbank's call centre assured me that my present HOC did not cover me for such eventualities. BnBSure sent proof of this and noted Nedbank's interest. It has been 7 months I am still trying to get confirmation that my policy with Nedbank has been cancelled but I get no feedback or response. I received a letter from Nedgroup Insurance dated 4/2/2013 confirming that my policy has been renewed. No matter how many times I phone the call centre or send an email I get no response - the staff I speak to always need to escalate the matter and assure me that someone will phone me back but to date nobody has. I have been told to speak to Gladys Mabitsela, Reena Nana, Larissa Ganesh but none of them will speak to me or answer my email. I get told that my security type is 3 as this is now a commercial property but the municipality tell me that I am still residential because I do not rent out 4 or more rooms. Nobody wants to take ownership and assist me.
