Dragging my name through the mud for a closed acc

I received a sms on the 2/5 saying that my name has been handed over to Attorneys for an Absa Credit Card because i owed R1288. I was very shocked to see this and thought it might have been because i dont and have never owned an Absa Credit card. After calling the attorneys they handed me over to (Macrobert Att) i learned that this might be and i need to get an affidavit so they can do an investigation, i called my bank just to check if all the figures are still in tact in my account which they were however deregistered my cellphone banking for just incase. I then called Macrobert Att back and another lady actually advised me that it could be for the OLD Virgin Money credit card i had back in 2005 (which i had settled and closed) i called V. Money and they advised me that this happened due to a "technical error" because someone who pulled the files pulls it in bulk and my name might have been sent to them!! this for me is absolutely unacceptable and completely wrong! At the end of the day MY name has been handed over and MY name looks bad, its not even about the money its about my name! I just want my name to be cleared and to be assured that my name will NOT be listed
