Anyone buying products straight from Groupon (as opposed to those supplied by Groupon on behalf of another supplier) BEWARE.
A little over a year ago my Mom bought an idroid tablet for a little over R2000. The thing has never worked, and was basically a glorified camera (which is sad considering the terrible picture quality). On finding out about this, I attempted to help and contacted Groupon. I wasn't looking for a refund; I wasn't looking to cast blame. All I wanted was to know where I could take it to get it fixed since I was told at Altech that the spring for the SIM card is broken and they can't find the part. My query was handled by Manoj Kumar, who after sending me a few annoying apology emails and asking for information I had originally given, directed me to a site where I could get a reference number. This site never worked, and after informing him of this; he re-sent it to me. So I've given up; my poor mother makes a R2000 loss and we are unable to do anything with it because the cell giants don't know about it and I can't find anything about it on Amazon, where I was directed by one guy who tried to help.
I expected more from Groupon and am no longer keen on them.
