I WENT TO ALBERTON VODACOM TO REPLACE A SIMCARD I REPORTED . I HAD THE FORM FROM BAYPORT INSTRUCTING THEM TO DO A SIMSWAP. I WAS THEN TOLD I HAD TO PAY R63.00 FOR THIS SIMCARD. I HAD NO PROBLEM PAYING THE MONEY. THE SALES LADY THERE TOOK BAYPORTS PAYPERS AND A COPY OF MY ID. AFTER STANDING THERE FOR ALMOST 10 MINUTES I ASKED HER WHAT MUST I DO NOW, WHEREAS SHE INFORMED ME THAT I CAN LEAVE BUT CAN ONLY USE THE NEW SIMCARD IN 4 HOURS, 4 HOURS PASSED AND I HAD NO CONECCTION SO I DECIDED TO LEAVE IT AND SORT IT OUT ON MONDAY MORNING. I PHONED THE VODACOM CUSTOMER CARE LINE TO DO THE SIM SWAP BUT WAS INSTRUCTED TO PHONE BAYPORT TO ACTIVATE THE SIMSWAP. SO I PHONED THEM ONLY FOR BAYPORT TO TELL ME I HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE VODACOM SHOP AS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO PHONE BAYPORT TO ACTIVATE THIS SIM CARD WHILE IM THERE. WAS IT TO MUCH FOR HER TO MAKE A PHONECALL... AND SAVED ME ALL THIS HASSEL. THE SERVICE IS POOR AND THE STAFF IS LAZING AROUND ON THERE OWN CELLPHONES INSTEAD OF ASSISTING CUSTOMERS LIKE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO. I WILL NOT USE VODACOM ANYMORE AND WILL INSTRUCT MY FRIENDS TO GO TO THE OPPISISION.
