I applied for a quotation via the Outsurance website using the R400 promotion they have on offer. As I was done completing all the information, a representative from Outsurance called me, and went through the options I had available. I informed him of my current insurance package, and informed him that it is a pay as you drive option and I believe Outsurance has a similar option (though he seemed to not know much about it!). On the Outsurance website it clearly states that a similar option is available. The rep informed me that Outsurance cannot compete with that, and that I should take out a normal insurance.
Anyway, long story short, I contacted my current insurer prior to this call and had gotten a quotation on standard comprehensive cover. I informed this sales rep that I already do have a quotation from them for standard comprehensive cover, and he was still not able to beat it.
I then asked him if he could check to see Outsurance's rates on their pay as you drive option, and he didn't get back to me. I then asked about the R400 promotion to which he replied I will ask my manager and get back to you now.
It is now the next day, and still no response whatsoever.
