Disaster when claiming for a chip

On the 16th of September I submitted a claim for my windscreen. Someone called me to ask for my work address so they could come do the repair. I gave it to them and then heard noothing. On 30 seep I then called miway to advise them that should my windscreen crack I will not pay an excess to replace it as I had done my part to try and prevent it frm cracking. I was then called again and was given a appointment of 13:30 the next day. I waited until lunch time was over, the person arrived at 15:00, called me and told me he doesn't have airtime I should call him back. I was like really? Then he told me he had to wait 20 minutes for me. I told him that my time with him was for 13:30. Needeless to say my chip was 'repaired' but he left a drilled hole on my windscreen. I asked colleagues what a repaired chip looks like and they said it should dissappear. I then called miway to advise them of this, the girl said she would inveestigate and come back to me, its 2 days later and nothing. I want to know if fixing a small chip is such a hassle and nuisance, how then will they handle a real accident claim. I'm so disgusted at their service, it is pathetic to say the least.
