In August 2012 I opened a cheque account with ABSA (the one I signed up for was the Silver Value Bundle for R79 pm). I started to notice that my banking fees are extremely high and I queried this in February2013 when i went into the branch the consultant that originally helped was not there that day and another consultant took down my details and advised me that my consultant will call me back that following Monday. I waited patiently when no one had even tried to contact me up until May I went into the branch again on 03/05/2013, i spoke to the same consultant who had advised me that the other consultant would phone me back, she then handed my case to the branch manager, she advised me that she would phone me back on Monday, 06/05/2013 at 15:20 i decided to phone them as they close at 15:30 finally got though to the branch manager who was so rude to me, she advised that my consultant will phone me back the following day, the consultant then phoned me back the following day advising that they have requested my statements from head office and that they will be refunding the money on Wednesday 08/05/2013, it is now Tuesday 14/05/2013 I have still not heard anything from them.
