I encountered the worst bus trip of my life, due to shocking service & standards. I booked a return bus ticket from Port Elizabeth to Somerset West.

The bus stopped at 18h15 & I queued inline to board, when I got closer to the front of the line the hostess (cant recall her name) mentioned that there was 8 seats available on this bus and that we shouldn't worry as there will be another bus coming around 19h30.

When I finally got to the front of the line, there were 5 spaces left. The hostess then continued to ask me for my ref and where I'm traveling too. I mentioned that I was traveling to Somerset West. She then proceeded to hand me back my ref and tell me "sorry, this bus isn't stopping at Somerset West, it's going straight to Cape Town" which was an absolute lie. I got on the second bus, that wasn't 100% from the beginning & eventually broke down in Jefferys Bay, waited 2hours, finally got on another bus.(didn't have working wipers, drove with its brights & half the speed limit during a part of the trip due to abit of rain which caused danger to other cars) eventually I was 4h30 delayed. My return bus broke down also (same mechanical problem). Not even a cup of free coffee.
