After booking my return tickets to Munich for my wife and myself well in advance, we turned up at the airport 3 hours before the flight. Whe we tried to check in, we were told that the flight was already fully booked and there were NO SEATS AVAILABLE!! It took 3 hours to find out that we can only travel tomorrow, and it was impossible to find anyone that was even interested in my problems which include missed business meetings, non-refundable payments for transport and hotel and other issues. The couldn't-care-less attitude of all the staff on duty was incredibly annoying and frustrating - I guess that's what happens in a SA-government organisation. Sadly, but not surprisingly, they do not respond to complaints on Hello Peter so the only way to protest is to boycott them, but I doubt that anyone actually cares...
I will only ever book SAA again if there are no other options
