On Friday Morning the 29th, my husband and I tried to check in on a Kulula flight at Lanseria to Cape Town. The tickes were bought by my husband through Vitality.
My ID book and drivers license were lost 2 weeks ago and I have travelled twice via Oliver Thambo and Cape Town International with my Old ID - reflecting my ID number and picture and my Discovery Heatlh card, confirming that the ID number reflected on the old ID book with my maiden name is the same as the ID number on my Health Card.
Peter, the check in person refused to assist and after begging him, he eventually took me to the help kiosk, manned by 2 individuals who took their time helping other customers to buy tickets. After begging Tebogo to please assist me to prevent me from missing my flight, he confirmed that they could not confirm my identity with an ID, a health card and a purse full of bank cards confirming my married name.
After an hour and a half I was allowed to board.
I am absolutely appalled by the service and the attitude of both Peter and Tebogo who were rude and very unhelpful. I will never use Lanseria again and would avoid Kulula at all costs! They are very unprofessional and have no discretion
