Greyhound - the bus trip from!! Me an my daughter bought tickets down to Grahamstown yesterday. I was to return with Greyhound tomorrow (6 February). We left at Pretoria station on time, and although caught in traffic for about an hour due to rain we broke down close to Empire road we we were stuck for no less than 4 hours. We sat in the bus for at least an hour an a half (no air-) before the hostess announced a breakdown. The mechanic came and could not fix the bus, and only about an hour later a new coach arrived. Passengers had to move our luggage themselves, and when we got into the new coach the water was streaming out of the toilet. No attempt to apologize or fix it. We arrived at Park Station Depot at 8:45 PM after-which me an my daughter disembarked because we would have been late for our meetings the next day anyway - R 1500 wasted!! I have worked all over Africa and this is the worst I have seen!! 5 hours to get from Pretoria to JHB!!
