My mum had a flight with Qatar airlines, their flights were delayed & we were not informed until reaching the airport. upon query, management gave us a ticket for my mum to fly an entire 16 hours later. not to mention a night stay over in Doha she has to do. we had already booked an extra bag with Qatar to avoid my mother carrying ANY luggage in her hand. now due to the over night stay she has already paid for the extra bag and now has to carry a hand luggage of a nights change of cloths. my mother not being of the best of health was planned to travel to avoid the longest travel time. however now with a nights stay this extends her stay even more. on reaching her destination we had planned pickup best to our friends ability as they work during the week, however now due to an entire day delay my mum is to stay at airport to wait for travelling for extra 6 hours due to friends being at work. when asked for some sort of compensation the management turned it to the deaf ear. ive paid full flight price for reaching the destination at my planned time. the airline did nothing, no upgrade in travel, no compensation for a bag I already paid for, no transport from airport to final destination!
